8 Things I Realized About Relationships in My 30s

  • 1. Never reveal your true feelings at a drinking party. If others know what’s in your heart, it could be used against you later.

  • 2. Drinking gatherings are pointless. People coming together just to drink adds no value to life. There are no genuinely good people who drink excessively.

  • 3. Trying too hard to impress others is meaningless. It only makes you look foolish.

  • 4. Being alone is the default; spending time with others is a bonus. Life is inherently a solo journey. If you keep trying to blend in, people will start treating you like a servant.

  • 5. A friend’s success is not my failure. No matter how someone succeeds—even if it’s just luck—just congratulate them and focus on living your own life.

  • 6. Don’t interfere in other people’s lives. Those who meddle in others’ business will end up inheriting their misfortune. Stay away from other people’s troubles.

  • 7. Three out of ten people will dislike me for no reason. Stop trying to win over those who don’t like you. No matter how well you treat them, they will still resent you. Just keep your distance.

  • 8. The ones meant to stay will stay. A good friend will always be by your side, while a bad friend will leave when you have no money or when you find better friends.
